- No surprise part charges for retained drives – With KYHD in place, customers can keep covered drives when they are replaced under warranty or support without additional replacement cost, simplifying budgeting and avoiding ad-hoc ""unreturned part"" fees.
- Seamless add-on to existing support – KYHD layers onto ProSupport/ProSupport Plus and similar contracts, preserving all existing SLA and repair benefits while adding a clear, policy-backed way to control how data-bearing components are handled at end of life.
